Dale Jr. a bit Testy
“Ya’ll saw what happened,” said Earnhardt Jr. when asked about the cause of his Richmond setback. “Why do I got to comment on it? It doesn’t help nothing to talk about it, not for me. My team’s had enough [junk] from everybody else. I don’t need to weigh in on it. Ya’ll saw what happened. Ya’ll say what ya’ll want to say, and we’re working on it, we’re trying to fix it. I’m pretty sure the guys will concentrate harder and try not to make that mistake next time, but we had three [jack screws] in the car, one in the track bar adjustment and one in each [jack screw] in the right rear.
errrr, what about missing your pit twice in races... what about blaming the car... what about, oh heck.... You just ain't got the fire in your belly kid.

Champion Motor Speedway Recap 5-2-09
Some really exciting racing, about 24 cars in Modified, and about 24 in Sport Modified, other classes were well represented too.
The bad: Concession stand ran out of Coke and Dr. Pepper about 2 hours after opening.
Dr. Danger: Well....more bark than bite.
Only one ambulance in attendance. One poor guy had an apparent heart attack, taken to the hospital, about a 30 minute wait for a replacement.
1 fight in the grandstands, only lasted for 4 punches!
I will post the results and commentary later.

Brad Keselowski: What it takes to win!
...“I would say at one point for a split second [I was scared], but you ain't got time to be scared,” Keselowski said. “How does that saying go, 'I ain't got time to bleed'? You'd better go, and if you're scared, this is not the right place to be, because that's when you make poor decisions.”
So when the win-or-lose decision came time to be made, Keselowski’s head was clear. He knew what he needed to do. It might not be what someone else does, but for Keselowski, the choice was clear.
“It's a give-and-take sport, and as races go on, it's a challenge of who is going to lift and who is not, and it's testing each other every moment,” Keselowski said. “That was a test on Carl's side. Whether or not he knew I was there or not, I'm sure he felt like I would let him in even if I was there, and I was not going to.
“It's a test of character. Like I said, I'm not sure I did the right thing to win, but I guess you can always look about it different ways if you did the right thing in life.”.... read the whole thing.
